Nigerians Berate Malami Over Comments On Southern Open Grazing Ban

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The minister of justice and Attorney General of the federation, Abubakar Malami, have come under criticism concerning his statement on open grazing. It will be recalled that southern governors banned open grazing due to the security concerns surrounding it as reports of Fulani herdsmen killing residents continue to dominate media space. Reacting, Abubakar Malami when he appeared on Politics Today, a programme on Channels TV, stated that banning open grazing was ‘unconstitutional’ and the decision is dangerous for the country. Buhari s son-in-law declared wanted by ICPC over N26 5bn Fraud

Mallam Gimba Yau Kumo President Muhammadu Buhari’s son-in-law, Mallam Gimba Yau Kumo, has been declared wanted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC)  over an alleged N26.5 billion ($65 million fraud.) Kumo is married to Fatima, one of the daughters of the president from his first marriage. They got married in 2016 when Buhari had become president. Kumo who is from Gombe State was declared wanted alongside Tarry Rufus and another man Bola Ogunsola. The declaration was made known in a statement on Thursday, by Azuka Ogugua, spokesperson of the anti-graft commission who  asked anyone who had information on the whereabouts of the trio to report to the ICPC headquarters or the nearest police station.

Kano Strange Disease Caused By Food Poisoning Of Flavoured Drink, Says NAFDAC DG – Channels Television

  The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) says the strange disease in Kano State is caused by food poisoning through a flavoured drink. The Director-General of the Agency, Mojisola Adeyeye, disclosed this on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily. Adeyeye described the incident as “very serious,” adding that investigations are still in progress. “The Kano incident is a case of food poisoning with flavored drinks that has a chemical called Dansami. It is very serious because food poisoning resulted in diarrhoea, vomiting, and hospitalisation. “Our zonal director, Pharmacist Gimba, is on top of this and our pharmacovigilance officers are also investigating what actually happened.
