The Uttar Pradesh government has rejected a request from the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) for 50% state funding for two proposed metro extensions in Ghaziabad. The government cited that the maximum state funding share for other metro projects in Uttar Pradesh is 27%. The proposed extensions are from Vaishali to Mohan Nagar and Noida Sector-62 to Sahibabad, which would connect Ghaziabad's Red Line to Delhi Metro's Blue Line. GDA had submitted a funding proposal based on a 50:20:30 ratio, with the state covering 50% of the cost., Delhi News, Times Now
