A CGI of the proposed Kingland House development off the George Roundabout in Poole COUNCILLORS will be asked to approve plans to build an 11-storey block of flats in the centre of Poole next week. Poole Property Investments has applied for permission to demolish and replace the buildings off the eastern edge of The George roundabout for more than 100 apartments and commercial space. And BCP Council’s planning committee has been recommended to approve the scheme ahead of its meeting next week to help make up its shortfall in new homes. The planning application was submitted in 2018 and originally proposed the construction of 225 flats on the site behind the Dolphin Shopping Centre.
Longfleet Road in Poole closed due to emergency gas leak repairs LONGFLEET Road in Poole is closed in one direction due to emergency repairs on a gas leak. Due to an emergency closure, the B3068, which runs outside of Poole Hospital towards the Shah of Persia pub, has been closed between the Elizabeth Road and Garland Road until further notice. SGN are currently undertaking the complex repairs, but have stated it is too early to say how long the roadworks will be in place for. Waseem Hanif, spokesperson for gas distribution company SGN said: We re carrying out emergency repairs to our gas main in Longfleet Road, Poole.
