Lough Derg Visitor Experience Development Plan Launched

Clare FM 21st April 2021 A new plan to deliver and elevate ‘Destination Lough Derg’ has been launched today. The Lough Derg Visitor Experience Development Plan sets out the overall approach to destination planning in the area for the next five years, illustrating the unique attractions of Lough Derg and how best to develop visitor experiences across the region to place Lough Derg as a holiday destination of choice both nationally and when appropriate internationally. It was developed in collaboration with Fáilte Ireland and Waterways Ireland, Clare, Tipperary and Galway Councils, Inland Fisheries, the Leader Programme and Coillte. CONTINUE READING BELOW

Clare s Vaccination Centre Opens 5 Days Ahead Of Schedule

Picture: UL Hospitals Group Clare’s designated vaccination centre has opened today at Treacy’s West County Hotel in Ennis, five days ahead of schedule. Some 120 people are receiving their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine at the newly-opened vaccination clinic today. On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to Lisdoonvarna nurse Catherine Fogarty who is a vaccinator at the Ennis centre and to Patrick Treacy, Managing Director at Treacy’s West County Hotel. Professor Of Immunology Weighs In On Spacing Out Vaccine Doses And Vaccine Priority

The Health Minister subsequently abandoned this idea – but is there any merit in it? On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to Professor of Immunology at UCC, Liam Fanning, about this and also about the idea of spacing the doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
