The specific area theyre looking at is a grouping of trees. Crews from the Oakland Public Works department is doing digging. This is connection to a cold case that is five years older or possibly older. Police came out to the site yesterday as part of the investigation and today returned, contacted the fbi and asked for assistance. They are providing help with forensic analysis of whatever is unearthed at this site. We contacted opd and asked for more about the cold case, the investigation. They released a statement that says the Oakland Police department is conducting an investigation in connection with a crime that occurred.
