ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (KIFI/KIDK) - The Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) has released details surrounding the arrest of two people on kidnapping charges near Rock Springs, after an Amber Alert was issued in Idaho Falls last weekend.
WHP was notified of the alert at 10:14 p.m. Friday. Authorities were looking for a 10-year old child who had been abducted in Idaho Falls. The suspect was believed to be headed for Pueblo, Colorado.
At 7:08 a.m. Saturday, a Wyoming trooper discovered a broken down vehicle near milepost 32 on Wyoming 430 south of Rock Springs.

A broken-down vehicle led law enforcement to find an abducted child from a recent Amber Alert.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. Two suspects are in custody and an abducted child is safe after Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) found them in a broken-down vehicle near Rock Springs, Wyoming.
On Friday, December 11, 2020, around 10:14 p.m., Wyoming Highway Patrol was notified of an Amber Alert. The Amber Alert was issued after a 10-year-old child was abducted from the area of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Law enforcement was told the suspect vehicle involved in the incident was possibly headed towards Pueblo, Colorado.
On December 12, 2020, around 7:08 a.m., a WHP trooper was notified of a broken down vehicle in the road around milepost 32 on Wyoming 430 south of Rock Springs.
