shutdown the burlingame long term care center which has 230 residents. the county took over the center nine years ago when the state placed the previous owner under receivership because of the poor quality of care. this lease expires in june of next year and the health department which runs it has recommended that the supervisors not renew the lease. they say it is too costly. they are running it at an operating deficit of about nine million dollars a year. and the health department says the center is old and unsafe for the residents and staff. the residts who testified made emotional pleas asking the supervisors not to remove them. if burlingame were built today it would not be approved under the current code. i could go to a center. i could go to i just don t want to move. thank you. reporter: the supervisors are scheduled to vote on this lease at this meeting. but, they could also postpone it. the health department says if this center closes, if the supervisors dec

and i m kristen sze. vallejo police looking for more suspects in a shooting rampage at a nail salon last night. five people injured, including a little girl now in critical condition. amy hollyfield is live on the scene. have the police made any arrests? reporter: they have made one arrest. not only are investigators still here, business owners are not able to get to their businesses to start cleaning up and assessing the damage. this is the appliance repair shot that just found a bullet casing. it was quite a gun battle here on springs drive in vallejo. police got the call after 7:00 that a total of five people had been shot at tina s nail salon, including a toddler, a little girl sitting on her grandmother s lap. she is in critical, but stable condition this morning. it appears, although police are still trying to sort it out, a female customer of the salon was the target. police say a friend of hers then returned fire. witnesses described the few minutes of terror. i d
