JUPITER, Fla. â The Jupiter Police Department will host the 2021 National Night Out parade.
Over 30 police vehicles, fire trucks, and more will take part in the event that will take place Tuesday, Aug. 3 beginning at 6 p.m.
The event aims to bring awareness to crime and drug abuse prevention.
Parade vehicles will have giveaways and the event will serve as a collection for the Little Smiles Holiday Toy Drive. Participants are encouraged to bring an unwrapped new toy to give to local children during the holiday season.

JUPITER Brightline s northward expansion project will continue its way through Jupiter, closing traffic to motorists at the railroad crossing at Toney Penna Drive between South Old Dixie Highway and Alternate State Road A1A starting next week.
The crossing will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday through the evening of Jan. 28. Construction crews from Brightline are working to complete railroad crossing upgrades as part of the high-speed rail line s expansion, connecting South Florida to Orlando International Airport.
Currently, crews are completing work at the railroad crossing on Donald Ross Road in Palm Beach Gardens. That crossing is scheduled to reopen Sunday. Similar work has also been done at rail crossings on Indiantown Road and Frederick Small Road in Jupiter, at Hood Road in Palm Beach Gardens and at Blue Heron Boulevard in Riviera Beach.
The crossing will close at 7 a.m. Jan. 4, with the work expected to continue through the evening of Jan. 17, Jupiter town officials announced this week. The closure will extend from Alternate A1A west to Evergrene Parkway.

Similar work has already occurred at rail crossings on Indiantown Road and Frederick Small Road in Jupiter, at Hood Road in Palm Beach Gardens and at Blue Heron Boulevard in Riviera Beach.
These detours will be in effect during the Donald Ross Road closure:
