It’s week five of MasterChef Australia and it’s time to Battle the Brigades, ‘cause there’s nothing more fun than running the same challenge four nights in a row!
That’s right, it’s four service challenges where the contestants are up against some professional chefs and have to serve a three-course meal to 20 patrons. It’s just like when they replay the same song over and over again in a kids show because it’s all a tiny child can handle. Our smooth, smooth brains love to see it, so let’s hand out some awards.

Two years in the making, Fitzroy s luxurious new restaurant and bar by Emilio Scalzo and Zoe Rubino can finally serve its prawn cocktails, and Poodle cocktails. It s all about seafood platters on the terrace this summer, but expect chef Josh Fry s obsession with dry-ageing and updates on hotel classics like club sandwiches and vol au vents to make a big play.
