Lack of active Western Disturbances resulted in the situation of fog remaining absent from Delhi and the NCR region. Skies remained clear and no weather activity was observed over the city. Western Disturbances in the hills were feeble in nature and had no effect over the plains.
It was a sunny and pleasant Sunday in the national capital as the maximum temperature settled at 24.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, the Met office said.
As Delhi continues to reel under cold wave conditions, the temperature was recorded at 8.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday morning. Meanwhile, the temperature in the city is likely to gradually rise to 17-18 degrees Celsius over the next three days, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
