Coming down with this storm. Up to 20 inches of rain expected as it barrels its way through the bahamas. Thats whats next. A 20foot storm surge for the island. This is the largest evacuation in the history of the bahamas. Several islands are being evacuated, mandatory evacuations. They had some time to try to get out but 20 inches of rain already came down for places like Dominican Republic and puerto rico, still going to continue to come down through the bahamas. Heres where its tracking. This is the turn that we are all watching. This will determine whether or not its going to hit florida directly or go just to the east of it. The spaghetti plots show it there. If a cold front comes down it could help push this storm into the atlantic. The models are looking like its going straight for the carolina. A few showers around there around sfo and Santa Cruz Mountains and east bay hills and up near point reyes and this will continue north and northeast as we head through the next couple of hours. Our best chance is a window of about four hours from now of getting anymore of these light showers. Most of the rainfall amounts have been around a couple hundreds of an inch and have been in the higher elevation.
