The xl pipeline was a significant bump in the road but we had strong bipartisan vote and unfortunately the president decided to be told that legislation, but after years of this chamber being used solely for the purpose of messaging and can ducting political show votes we are actually starting to get some things done. Its done. Its pretty exciting. As somebody whos been here since 2002 its hard to believe, i say that because ive actually been here during different phases and cycles of the senates senates operating and i have to tell you, the last four years or s

But all of us who were there, that dozen of us for the time, we took responsibility to try to put more women in congress across the country. I am proud that in california our delegation of democrats is a majority of women, not even counting our two senators. Women are empowered in california. I also want to acknowledge that although our members are great here, two of our colleagues have gone on to the senate. Senator elect Tammy Baldwin [applause] senator elect mazie hirono. The era which saw the creation of institutions. Fine, important institutions like the American University of beirut. [inaudible] excuse me . [inaudible] a lot of good stuff. Well, its and i think, you know, its worth remembering that moment. And i refer anybody here who isnt familiar with the work of medici to a historian of that relationship at Rice University to his work. Its a really fascinating moment that is less known than it should. And on that somewhat e evasive response [laughter] ill say thank you very much for your questions.
