No 1 UW Women Sweep Four Races At Lake Las Vegas

Apr 10, 2021 HENDERSON, Nev. – The No. 1-ranked Washington women s rowing team won all four of its races Saturday morning against No. 8 Alabama and No. 20 Oregon State, on the first day of the Lake Las Vegas Pac-12 Invitational.   The Huskies, back in action for the first time since sweeping Washington State at the very same race course four weeks ago, won all four events – the first and second varsity eights, and the first and second varsity fours – by open water.   The Huskies wrapped up the day with a win in the marquee race: the varsity eight. The veteran UW eight, led by stern pair Ella Cossill and Tabea Schendekehl, fell behind Alabama in the first 200 meters, while all three boats remained in contention.
