on the asteroid. i was telling alex before when we were talking about this, when i kept hearing this incredible story yesterday about smashing into the asteroid, come on, what was i thinking. i was thinking aerosmith i don t want to miss a thing, hear the news story i don t want to close my eyes it was incredible. willie, stop him. a sappy summer movie. they tried to do this last night. you got bruce. you throw affleck in there, mika, if you don t know what we re talking about, this was a huge movie 25 years ago, with the plausible plot they trained oil drillers in a matter of days to become nasa astronauts and effectively do what we saw yesterday in real life, they knocked a rocket with a ship the size of a refrigerator, they knocked an asteroid off its course yesterday, nasa did this in real life. no liv tyler, now they know if something is barrelling toward earth, they have a decent chance of knocking it away. scientifically, the movie, i don t think it w
necessarily focused on just the direct path and the direct impact of the storm. we are going to see some direct impacts along the west coast of florida and into the panhandle. but everybody in florida is going to have potential impacts from this storm. i ll be joined by marcus coleman, a veteran of fema and dhs who responded to multiple hurricanes. he ll have the latest information about where things stand now. the next january 6th hearing is just 24 hours away. and with several months worth of new evidence, actually an avalanche of new information according to one committee member, they have to decide what stays and what goes into tomorrow s two-hour presentation. nbc news has learned that one of those new pieces of evidence will be footage of donald trump s long-time friend roger stone interviewed by danish film makers four months before the 2020 election. in this clip, stone explains how trump is going to win no matter what. what they are assuming is the election will
midterms that i want to talk to him about, something i think you can help us wrap our heads around. let s start with the great state of louisiana. every ten years, there is a census, right? the last census in 2020 shows the same churned and louisiana that was taking place across several southern states. over the last decade, the white population shrink, and the black population grew. what people are now less than 56% of louisiana s population and about a third of the population there is black. yet, this is louisiana s congressional delegation. other states six members of congress, five are white republicans. one is a black democrat because even though louisiana is one third black, only one congressional district has majority black population. that s a state lawmakers drew the congressional maps. but after every census, state lawmakers get to draw new congressional maps and last year, despite those new census numbers showing a shrinking white population and a growing black pop
robinson, apparently tired, punched fairly well and rocked jake right to his heels. come on, ray. a director and actor finds a story at the right time and the right place. and out comes this amazing combination of cinematic virility and absolute fear. it s like watching an animal. i think raging bull is a great title. and the film fulfills the promise. the reality of the boxing and the great slow motion, all of the black-and-white gore, the violence of the flash bulbs going off. when he designed the movie, marty, he purposefully didn t put a clutch on the film. there s no clutch. hey, ray, you never went down, ray. you never got me down, ray. raging bull is a boxing movie for people who don t like boxing movies, but it s really not about that. it s about this man, jake, based on a real person, who s really at war with himself. come on. harder. harder. i didn t really understand boxing, but the character was interesting. he was just so contr
