As “Mujib: The Making of The Nation” drops in theaters today, Bangladeshi audiences will get to witness the personal journey of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and how his love for the country inspired him to fight till his death.
“If the trailer for Bangabandhu’s biopic, ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’ was not up to the mark, it would not have been shown at the 75th Cannes Film Festival,” said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday during a press conference.
Director Shyam Benegal’s biopic on the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur, titled “Mujib: The Making of a Nation” is likely to be released at the end of this year.
The Cannes Film Festival geared up for a bumper 75th anniversary edition with a selection of big Hollywood names, buzzy newcomers and previous Palme d’Or winners from May 17– a splashy return even as the conflict in Ukraine looms over festivities.
The official trailer of eminent Indian director Shyam Benegal’s “Mujib: The Making of A Nation” would be released soon, according to actor Arifin Shuvoo, who plays the role of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the biopic.
