Fijian Police will be closely monitoring the movement of people to various popular picnic spots around the country during this festive season.
Chief Operations Officer Assistant Commissioner of Police Abdul Khan said the high movement of people was expected and they wanted to ensure that safety measures were followed at all times.
“It is part of the organisation’s duties in ensuring that members of the public continue to be safe as they enjoy themselves during this festive period,” ACP Khan said.
He urged members of the public to ensure their homes were secured before they went out.
