For the second week in a row, three-fourths of the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week honors have gone to members of the Arkansas State track and field squads.
Bennett Pascoe and Aimar Palma Simo were tabbed Menâs Track and Field Athletes of the Week while Pauline Meyer was named Womenâs Track Athlete of the Week. Thursdayâs announcement by the league office marks the second consecutive week Pascoe and Meyer are honored â the fourth overall time this season for Meyer.

The NAIA National Office announced its National Athlete of the Week selections for outdoor track & field on Wednesday.
Bralyen Brewer of Bethel (Kan.) was named the Men’s Track Athlete of the Week. Brewer set a PR in the 400 of 46.92 and helped the Pilots’ 4×100 relay squad finish second at the Loren Reusser Invitational.
Taylor Bottomley of Central Methodist (Mo.) was named the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week. Bottomley broke two school records at the CMU Invitational with big efforts in the hammer throw (55.88m/183-4) and shot put (16.43m/53-11).
Lauren Tamayo of Hastings (Neb.) was named the Women’s Track Athlete of the Week. Tamayo earned four wins at the Bronco Invitational, taking first in the 100H (14.23) and helping the 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams to victory.

Lenoir-Rhyne Earns a Pair of SAC Track Field Performers of the Week

Kylie Dahlberg and Ellis Horton were named the South Atlantic Conference Astroturf Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
Dahlberg, a senior distance runner from Flagler Beach, Fla., Dahlberg, competed in the Lenoir-Rhyne Opener this past weekend where she placed first in the 1500m run with a time of 4:47.55. She went on to place first in the 800m run as well with a time of 2:21.92.
