Several school records fell in the Men’s 100m, 200m, 4x100m relay, 400m hurdles, and Long Jump at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier Wednesday afternoon.
On the women’s side, Jordan Shealey placed 8th in the 200m dash with a time of 25.81. Shealey also had a strong performance in the 100m finishing 6th place with a time of 12.24. Taylor Meadows then placed 5th in the 400m dash with a time of 59.24. Adie Bjerkness then placed 9th in the 800m run with 2:19.21. Kylie Dahlberg then placed 10th in the 1500m run with a time of 4:45.98. Leticia Venancio would continue the momentum placing 4th in the 100m hurdle with a 15.15. Kennedy Conner also paced just behind Venancio in 7th with a time of 16.07. Holly Kone also added a strong performance placing 5th in the 200m dash with a time of 25.48. The Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s and Women’s Track and Field teams wrapped up competition at South Atlantic Conference Outdoor championships Saturday.
The women finished 3rd in the overall standings behind Queens and Wingate. On the women’s side, Kennedy Conner finished 5th in the Heptathlon with 2204 points and scores of: 100m hurdles- 15.81, high jump- 1.48m, shot put-6.72m, 200m dash-29.07. Bekki Roche then placed 2nd in hammer throw with a mark of 49.20m. Lacey Triplett placed 3rd in javelin with a hurl of 35.90m. Kylie Dahlberg would add to the momentum placing 1st in the 1500m run with a time of 4:39.93. Leticia Venancio would continue the run placing 7th in 100m hurdles with a 15.36. The Lenoir-Rhyne Track and Field teams competed in their last regular season home meet at the Southside Power and Fitness Invitational Sunday.
On the women’s side, Bekki Roche finished 3rd in hammer throw with a throw of 47.46m. Lakiya Joshua and Jordan Williams went back-to-back in the long jump in 1st and 2nd with leaps of 5.17m and 5.13m. Savannah Nippa then placed 3rd in discus throw with a mark of 33.74m. Maigan Bowman and Kiara Moore went 1st and 2nd in high jump with jumps of 1.54m and 1.49m. Williams also took home 1st place in triple jump with a 10.77m. Lacey Triplett finished 1st in javelin throw with a 32.73m. Adalie Harrison would then continue the momentum taking home 1st in the 1500m run with a 5:28.64.
