(Douglas County, NE) Two men are arrested after 11 pounds of meth and more than $37,000 in cash are found in an Omaha motel room.
The Douglas County Sheriff s Office says around 7:30 Wednesday night, the DCSO Crime Suppression Unit was conducting targeted enforcement in the area of 108th and L. The sheriff s office says during the operation, a vehicle with no plates was pulled over. Investigators say during the stop, deputies determined that the driver and front seat passenger, 57 year old Michael Scott and 34 year old Guadalupe Ayala-Armienta, had valid warrants and were arrested.
The sheriff s office says upon further investigation and interviews, deputies began to suspect criminal activity at the Travel Inn Motel. DCSO says a search warrant was obtained for room #226 and that during the search eleven pounds of methamphetamines and $37,133 in cash were found.
