the way mueller structured his report, especially the findings on obstruction was ultimately confusing. i think it was hard for americans to see the underlying facts which the president committed multiple acts of the department of justice and the two of those together have left the american people with a very muddy picture of what this investigation found, and i think it s up to democrats on the committee today to draw out the facts of what bob mueller really found and show that the president committed multiple felony acts of obstruction of justice and abused his power in other ways that weren t criminal acts but gross abuses of his office and potentially high crimes and misdemeanors for which he could be impeached. the new york times michael schmidt, and yamish alsindor. what do they hope to accomplish or bring to light
we have security considerations that are bigger than any crime. when you put it like, that i think you raise such an important point. i think viewers know exactly what you re talking about because the notion that someone committed felony acts is different from whether they are a clear and present danger with the power that they have. you can roughly analogyize to when investigators sometimes find out information that might not be chargeable yet, but poses the kind of threat that they call in and october on. this is very different if the threat, as andy mccabe argued is coming from inside the government, inside the white house, and that hasn t been proven yet. but then walk us through, david, how that would work in the eyes of bob mueller, that he would find something that was bad enough that wasn t chargeable. how would he want to get to it the house? again, i ve been washing this for two years. bob mueller being such a by the book person and doing the right thing as a prosecutor.
