The car was stolen, say police . Reporter Law Enforcement, kris and scott, believes that the black sedan was stolen from the ford dealership in livermore. The driver of that stolen vehicle was driving through this neighborhood on meadowview drive in Castro Valley when he hit a young boy, 6 years old, on his way to marshall elementary. He hit him right there against that utility pole pinning his left leg up against that utility pole. Information suggests he stopped on his way to school to bend down and look at some worms. So he was bending down at the same time that this car lost control. Reporter the boy is in the hospital. He is expected to survive, but the Sheriffs Office believes he might lose his left leg. Chp tells us they do have one witness who got a pretty good look at the suspect.
