Police said just before 11 00 last night a taxi cab slammed in front of a parked car. Didnt return home from jogging. She was found in this grassy area near a bike path around four hours later, around 11 15 last night, just a few blocks from her home, and she was pronounced dead here at the scene. Now, investigators say that her death does appear to be suspicious and this brush area where she was found is just across the street from a residential neighborhood where residents this morning say they know, . . You see so close by, it really a shock. Really a shock. I feel bad for the parents. She went jogging, you know, and she never, you know, returned home. I think somebody had to find her. Reporter trapped on the second floor, several people in 109 washington avenue in little ferry were saved by firefighters and police around 11 30 last night when the building caught fire. Driving down the road, and as i was passing this house, i heard a big pop. It was some type of explosion. Not sure if it came from the garage or the cars parked in the driveway, then the whole house was engulfed in flames. Reporter lieutenant chris bowles says when he he could see was black smoke engulfing the building an he ran to help. Just started trying to break some windows and victims just start jumping out windows and pulled several people out of the building. Reporter you can see dozens of neighbors standing in panic as victims are taken away on stretchers. The lieutenant says fathers were dropping children down to him from the second floor window.
