About half, about 220,000, have put their ballots not in the mail but directly into drop boxes. Into the weekend. Gusty offshore winds will be back by sunday. In fact, we just got word that regional parks in east bay hills will close on sunday due to dangerous fire weather conditions. Likely some of the strongest offshore winds we have seen so far. Fire season a big concern we are watching this closely. A fire weather watch in effect from 11 am sunday through 11 am tuesday for the areas in yellow. East bay hills, diablo range and Santa Cruz Mountains are all under a fire weather watch which will be upgraded into a red flag warning. We are talking gust 60, 70 Miles Per Hour especially in the Higher Elevations with humidity values down to the Single Digits and the teens. We also have a high wind watch sunday 4 pm until monday at 10 am for the entire bay area because of the strong winds, possible downed trees and power lines.
