East bay hills, diablo range and Santa Cruz Mountains are all under a fire weather watch which will be upgraded into a red flag warning. We are talking gust 60, 70 Miles Per Hour especially in the Higher Elevations with humidity values down to the Single Digits and the teens. We also have a high wind watch sunday 4 pm until monday at 10 am for the entire bay area because of the strong winds, possible downed trees and power lines. We will talk more about this in detail coming up. Pg e is warning more power shutoffs are possible sunday through tuesday because of the high fire danger. So far marinda, moraga and lafayette say they are scheduled to start around 4 pm sunday and they could last until wednesday morning noon at the latest. I am monitoring the Scot Peterson hearing today. It looks like the prosecution plans to retry the penalty phase, at least, possibly the entire case. The judge would not let us record todays virtual hearing. I am sure you remember this case. Scot peterson convicted of killing his wife lacey and their unborn son. Last month the court overturned his death sentence on the grounds that the judge wrongly excluded jurors who stated they opposed the death penalty. Last week, the 2004 conviction itself was questioned on the account that a juror had not disclosed she was a victim of a crime and retained a restraining order against the perpetrator.
