San francisco is about to take action but it is not without controversy. We are getting new details on San Franciscos upcoming launch of c. A. R. E. Court, a program with people struggling for Serious Mental Health issues. Anne makovec joins me now to explain all this. This could be a way to help some of the most vulnerable Homeless People on the streets. It is possible to compel people to get help. It is a new civil Court Process that provides Behavioral Health services to people who are living with untreated schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. San francisco was among the first seven counties that will open up c. A. R. E. Court. The law was passed last year and it goes into effect starting october 1. This allows family members, First Responders and others to ask judges to order those with severe Mental Illness into treatment. The theory is that man
