The Fairfield Community High School Board of Education met last night and accepted bids for work on air conditioning in the east gym and construction at door 2. The projects, along with technology upgrades at the school, will be paid primarily through the CARES Grant. The board also accepted the resignation of Jenna Jones and approved the employment of Rhiannon Bridgeman as math teacher. FCHS has announced Jacob Britt, Brenna Freeman, Karigan Harvey, Jalysse Kinney, Tegan Ruhl, Colbie Sutton, and Callie Vaughan have been named Illinois State Scholars. State Scholars represent approximately the top 10 percent of seniors from 726 high schools across the state, chosen based on a combination of ACT or SAT scores and sixth semester class rank.
