People been accessing the area from the residential streets on wellworn pads via bike, on foot and even electric scooter. Homelessness isnt just a caltrain issue it is a societal issue. Reporter they say they are well aware of the situation and have mobilized crews on their hotspot program. They will clear out vegetation and install iron fencing in the area. Earlier this year caltrain announced it would be donating the use of their property and the freeways in a Pilot Program for homeless navigation centers. We are actually offering jobs, Employment Positions to the homeless that can make it through their local Service Program and then we will help guide them into state service, if they wanted to take a job with caltrain.
