The chp says in that resulting accident a car rearended anoth another. A woman got out of one car that was hit by another car. Shes in critical condition. The driver has hit her is under arrest phone suspicion of dui. Its unclear when northbound lanes will be open. Brazen and boold, thats how Vacaville Police are describing the crew that stole 8,000 of merchandise from a store in broad daylight. It happened one week ago at the Tommy Hilfiger store. Employees and customers are in shock as the first thief fills her bag with clothes. You can see another walking by with arms overfleeing with clothes and then casually walk outside with the clothes. They put a plastic bag on their rear license plate like this so the getaway car couldnt be identified. They walked in the store with empty shopping bags ready to fill up. Three men and two women recorded on a store employees cell phone. No one in store security tried to stop the thieves because of a hands off policy, plus they were scared. They try to put fear into people when they are committing the theft so they dont get interfered with. I showed the video to shoppers and they all found the disturbing. Shocking. In the east bay a concord man is being held in the Contra Costa County jail accused of threatening to commit a mass shooting at a jewish temple and kill police officers. Police took 23yearold ross farca into custody after receiving a tip about threats in an online chatroom. Officers arrested him earlier this month but just revealed the threats. Investigators say they found a semiautomatic rifle at farcas home. They also found camouflage clothing and nazi literature. Two bay area men under arrest after a police chase resulted in a deadly crash. 22yearold antonio gaso and 24yearold rodney of San Francisco had been booked on multiple charges including homicide and attempted homicide. Modesto police say the men sped away when officers tried to pull them over yesterday morning. Police say they fired shots at the officers pursuing them. The car jumped a curb near a taco truck. Two bystanders were killed. Police say the suspects ran but were quickly arrested. The car had been reported stolen. I heard a firework go off. We were wondering what was that. Reporter first, there were popping noises, then the sound of people shouting, then a plume of black smoke. That prompted chris bass and his son into action. Me and him looked at each other. I was hearing screams of fire. We both ran down this way. I ran over to these houses over here and knocked on their windows and doors. Then i hopped their fence, because i couldnt get in their backyard, and grabbed their garden hose. The phelps was on fire, so i put out the fence and sprayed down their bushes. Contra costa confirmed illegal fireworks started the twoalarm blaze, a fire that damaged one home and threatened at least six others. A witness told abc 7 news he saw a group of men at a Community Park setting off fireworks. Then suddenly the dry field across the street erupted into flames. Home owners are urged clear vegetation and high fire plants. A shooting in solana county. Abc 7 news in vacaville where a man died after someone shot him along eastbound interstate 880. The pickup smashed into a poll on the orange exit on the freeway at 6 00 last night. He died at the scene. Investigators say he suffered at least one gunshot wound. Chp officers want to hear from anyone who may have seen the shooting. Oakland police are increasing patrols this week. A crack down on side shows. Weve seen illegal car stunts in recent weeks pick up, including this one last week in the middle of the afternoon. If caught drivers can be arrested and have vehicles towed. The family said the incident started when one of the girls was accused of shoplifting a doll from a dollar store. The ames family has filed a 10 million claim against a nos an investigation takes place. So many dead gray whales have washed up this year. Federal Officials Say they have run out of places to take the whales to decompose. This is one of several gray whales that washed up in the bay area this year. In washington state, 30 whales have been stranded along the coast this year. They are now asking coastal home owners there to volunteer their property to be used as disposal sites. Decomposition can take several months. A battle is brewing over the future of burning man. Organizers proposed limiting attendance to 100,000 people. The bureau of Land Management is recommending keeping it at 80,000. Burning man working to get a tenyear renewal for space in the black rock desert. Security can be an issue.
