Clemson Celebrates 2020-21 UPIC Interns Clemson University’s University Professional Internship and Co-op Program (UPIC) has become a pillar of development for students to utilize during their time as a Tiger. Clemson’s Student-Athlete Development department, led by Assistant Directors Sable Lee and Anthony Hines, is proud to have helped 24 student-athletes take advantage of the program while continuing to pursue excellence at their sport during the 2020 fall semester. “I couldn’t be prouder of this group of student-athletes,” said Lee. “Their dedication to their professional growth amid a pandemic is to be recognized and honored. Thank you to ONE Clemson, Dr. Lori Pindar, Robin Bradley, and all of our mentors who made an impact on our student-athletes.”

Tigers Capture Three Individual Titles in Well-Rounded Saturday Effort CLEMSON, S.C. – The men’s and women’s track and field program concluded the Clemson Invitational against Georgia Tech, Georgia and Kennesaw State on Saturday with a series of standout performances and personal bests. Laurie Barton (800 meters), Josie Wirtz (3K) and Harleigh White (Triple Jump) claimed victories on the day, with each notching season bests in their respective events. As a program, the men and women combined for 17 indoor personal bests and 29 season bests. The men had a strong showing in the field, with Roje Stona and Zico Campbell each surpassing 16.8 meters in the shot put. Stona finished 3rd in the event, while Campbell’s career-best 16.83-meter toss set a new personal best. Anthony Hamilton tied his personal best in the high jump, clearing 2.15 meters, and finishing fourth overall. 

Tigers to Host Clemson Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson track and field program is set to return to action at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex on Jan. 15-16 as the Tigers welcome Georgia Tech, Georgia and Kennesaw State for the Clemson Invitational. Action will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, as the women’s long jump, men’s weight throw, and prelims of the women’s 60-meter hurdles get the meet underway. “We have four solid teams at this meet, so it should be a better meet than last week,” said Director of Track & Field Mark Elliott. “The events are going to be better represented throughout the meet.”
