MSC Virtuosa to “push boundaries” in guest experience and environmental features
The newest member of MSC Cruises’ fleet received her official flag earlier this week
MSC Cruises took delivery of
MSC Virtuosa, its latest and one of the most environmentally conscious ships at sea when she comes into service in April.
The new flagship will set sail in the summer season from 16 April, with four cruises in the Mediterranean of three, four and ten nights before she moves to her new homeport of Kiel, where she will commence her Northern Europe itineraries from 8 May.

MSC Virtuosa
MSC Cruises is to introduce two new ships in 2021 equipped with a wide range of latest-generation technologies and equipment minimising their environmental impact.
MSC Virtuosa and
MSC Seashore are set to feature hybrid exhaust gas cleaning systems and selective catalytic reduction systems achieving a 98% reduction of sulphur oxide emissions and reducing nitrogen oxide emissions by 90%.
What’s more, their wastewater treatment systems have been designed in line with the International Maritime Organization’s MEPC 227(64) Resolution and achieve purification standards that are higher than most wastewater treatment facilities ashore, the company said.
