The Nato Allied Air Command (AIRCOM) has announced that Norwegian F-35 aircraft have been certified to continue their Air Policing mission in High North region.
The defence cooperation agreements, modelled on a deal struck last year with NATO member Norway, grant effective immunity to US troops active in the country, enable them to pre-position weaponry at forward bases, and are aimed at setting the stage for an opening of another front in the war with Russia.
NATOs Allied Air Command delivers Air and Space Power for the Alliance.
It is in charge of all Air and Space matters from northern Norway to southern Italy and from the Azores to eastern Turkey. All missions support NATO’s strategic concepts of Collective Defence, Crisis Management and Cooperative Security.
