Afternoon around 1 30 while surfing about two miles down the coast from sea cliff near Sand Dollar Beach. The 26yearold surfer killed has been identified as ben kelly. He worked as a surfboard shaper and was known for his passion for the sport. Today, we spoke with a friend who worked with him. He was giving half his surfboard money to kenya to help over there. So hes philanthropic guy and he had a love for surfing in the ocean. Reporter now flowers are strewn along Sand Dollar Beach to remember ben. Someone even place ad piece of a surfboard near growing memorial. As a result of the shark attack, all beaches in the area one mile north and one mile south of where it happened are now closed and will remain closed until may 14th. Ben was attacked within 100 yards of shore near Sand Dollar Beach. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him but he died on the beach. Today, park rangers offered this warning. People should always have respect and a small amount of fear for the ocean. I would say if
