head of your party but you won t run 15 points ahead of joe biden. bill: polls have him at 42%. i can t remember a president during a mid-term holding office in the white house who was this low. anybody come to mind? you have to go way back. the other issue, this gets to this republican uneasiness about their senate candidates. they are not experienced, they are outsiders. some of them expressing views that some people will see as a little bizarre. but you look at polls, it is not just dissatisfaction with joe biden. americans think the country is on the wrong track. so i don t think this is a great year to be an establishment politician. that s been true of a bunch of our recent elections and true again this year. dana: even with the passage of the inflation reduction act which they are saying is the biggest climate change bill in
why am i am running for congress in new york. because my opponent, shaun patrick maloney is frankly another establishment politician who makes a lot of empty promises, instead of taking action. and it s time really to do something different. and if we want to get something different out of washington, we need to send someone different to washington. if you do wind up succeeding and expanding the court, wouldn t republicans just push to expand it even further when justices rule against them. doesn t undoing the pregnant that s set when it comes to the make up of the supreme court just open a can of worms, legally? first of all, there are a lot of plans out there that point to the ways in which the appeals court is run. 20 justices and a certain set of rules that would allow for us to really follow how other courts already are functioning at the federal level. that but that aside, i think it s important that all of us that are elected and wish to go on to be elected to higher office
typical behavior of the establishment politician. he s now regretted what he said. he now apologizes two weeks later. two weeks ago he said he wouldn t apologize. oh, i see, you checked the polls and find out where you really stand. he s changed a lot in two weeks and not just changed a lot in 40 years. he s eulogized strom thurmond and talked about his truth and genius. we can go on and on and on. he has the contextual ethics and my dear brother bernie sanders, at the moment he s working, biden is working with jesse helms on this amendment to make sure there s no state-sponsored bussing to desegregated schools and bernie sanders is getting arrested not just fighting for integration, but for bussing as well. you and i know and we live on the political age of bernie sanders and everyone is talking about $15 for a living wage and everyone will talk about what are you going to do with student
jon: peter doocy. peter, thank you. joining us with more on the 2020 race, kelly jane torrance, senior editor of the washington examiner. kelly jane, what is it about pete buttigieg? the he has sort of captured lightning in a bottle at least at this point. he s in fourth place, you know? the, coming from the standpoint of the mayor of not even the largest city in indiana. what is it that he s got? no, it s the fourth largest, right, jon? the yeah, i think really when you look at the front-runners in this race, joe biden and bernie sanders according to polls, pete buttigieg really stands out. he s a young, fresh face, and i do think that people connect with that. you know, one of the reasons that president trump won in 2016 again, you know, he s aned older guy, but he was different. he was an outsider. he wasn t an establishment politician. that s what voters wanted. and i still think that that anti-establishment view still holds even among democrats.
beats behind the music. this is where some people in her party are going. it looks like she is trying to get on that train. pretty soon, when things get back to normal, she will be back in the middle of being an establishment politician. i don t think she will stay with this line. tucker: this is what you are seeing from a bunch of elder statesmen in the democratic party. they are not sure what is going. the kids are mad and blocking intersections. they are saying i am hip and radical. i am with you. the slogan was i am with her. now she is saying i am with you. tucker: this happened 50 years ago? yes. i remember when we come back: when we had trouble in the streets in vietnam. it was a bad issue for democrats. normal people elected nixon
