Norfolk prosecutors said they were unable to move forward with the murder charges filed against Antoine M. Legrande Jr., 25, after two of three witnesses did not come to court. Legrande is expected to be release later Tuesday as a result.
Attorney Curtis Brown contends that Norfolk Circuit Court Judge Everett A. Martin Jr. violated his client’s rights by refusing to allow a jury trial in a traffic violation appeal. Virginia state law allows jury trials for “any” appealed traffic infractions.
