time since back-to-back blizzards hit us. those blizzards may be a thing of the past, but they re still causing real problems for commuters across the area. snow and ice are still piled up all over the area. that reduces the number of lanes available on many of the roads. jane watrel is down near the national maul will with more on. jane? i m at 14th and jefferson. i want to show you how the evening commute is going along. it s moving fairly smoothly, but that wasn t the case earlier today. the morning rush hour actually ended at about 1:00 this afternoon. after commuters spent hours trying to go just a few miles. frustration spilled into the streets of washington, d.c. near 14th and independence, drivers were still coming in from virginia in a rush hour that extendednto the noon hour. very tough. it took me two hours to get here. where did you drive from in. from springfield. it was a nightmare. 2 1/2 hours for only 15 miles. that s too much. reporter: this i
