impressed. i know that this is on your long list of concerns about this white house. what is at the top of your list, richard? well, part of the problem is at the top. that the president says that the rules don t apply to him. and the president can t have a conflict of interest. which is absolutely false. the president, of course, can have a conflict of interest. but if he says that and that he s going to keep his businesses despite the conflicts of interest. and the payments from foreign governments that violate the emolument clause of the constitution. and he s going to be tweeting out accusations about his predecessor without any evidence whatsoever. i mean, if he s going to conduct himself this way, the staff looks at that and says, well, i guess we can do anything we want. then the white house ethics lawyer jump in and said, actually, maybe you can, none of the rules apply to you. this is an awful situation. i m out of time, richard. thank you so much, i appreciate you joini
nipping at his heels with respect to business operations. we have buildings overseas with his name on them that could be potential terrorist targets. we koecould end up with bribery investigations. there s the problem of foreign government money flowing into the trump empire. that s a constitutional issue as of january 20. they need to make sure no foreign government money would violate the emolument clause of the constitution. there are a whole lot of problems president trump could deal with by selling off his business interests or giving them over to a trustee in a blind trust so the trustee can figure out how to dispose of these properties and he could focus on being president. he has a lot of issues to deal with. we have a crisis in the middle east, global warming and everything else. i want to ask you about his business interests fwhin one sed but the new york attorney general said he legally cannot dissolve his foundation until their investigation into the charity s money has w
new day earlier this morning and he said you know what, it s not a conflict of interest that these kids were sitting in these meetings because we were fully transparent. look, there was a camera in there. we have a camera posted at the golden elevators in the trump tower. we can see everybody walking in and out and nobody s making a secret of anything or that the kids were involved. so why is anyone worrying? does that sit well with you? well, the camera doesn t tell you who s saying what to who. and i am concerned about the children, the conflicts of interest with the president-elect s children. but i have to say, the much more serious and threatening conflict of interest involves the connection with foreign powers. we ve seen clear evidence that russia was very much involved in trying to throw this election to mr. trump, and is engaged now in operations overseas, in syria and elsewhere, and the president has to make sure that he does not have money coming in from foreign powers.
