The suspect is still at large. Police say this was not an active shooter situation and there is currently no active threat. To another big story that were following for you tonight covid19 cases are skyrocketing across the state. According to the state Health Department there were 12,000 new cases and 54 deaths in just the past 24 hours. T
50 increase in new coronavirus cases this month. The new order restricts nonessential Business Operations and from 10 pm until 5 am. As well as social activities and gatherings with people from other households. The order takes effect at 10 00 saturday night and will remain in place for a month. But it could potentially be extended. The order affects counties in the states most restrictive tear, the bay area counties are shown in light green and include every local county except marin, San Francisco and san mateo, which are still in the red tier. Reporter the state Officials Say they hope this curfew will really help slow the spread of the virus that has spiked in terms of cases in the state heard and they have extended the order through december 21. We need these evidencebased proven interventions more than ever as fentanyl continues its uncrease in San Francisco and we have estimated that weve had more than 470 Overdose Deaths in the first month of 2020. And so this is a muchneeded intervention and it remains a priority and able to participate with the senator and the mayor in announcing the fact that that the bill will be reintroduced.
