Funding For Local Firefighter Training

The money comes from the provincial government and also supports safety inspection programs. Kenora-Rainy River MPP Greg Rickford says COVID-19 hurt in-person training opportunities and this money will improve online educational instruction for firefighters. The money can also be used to upgrade high-speed internet in order to complete the training. The Dryden Fire Service is getting $6,500 while Machin and Ignace are both welcoming $4,800. Other allocations announced by the province: -Alberton Volunteer Fire Department $4800.00 -Chapple Fire and Emergency Service $4700.00 -Emo Fire and Emergency Service $4900.00
