Four COVID-19 Related Deaths Reported Locally

Des Moines, IA (KICD)– The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting 709 new cases of COVID-19 across the state as of 11 a.m. Saturday taking the pandemic total to more than 283 thousand cases and 3,946 deaths.
Locally, the largest increase is in Buena Vista County with 39 new cases followed by seven in Cherokee County, six in Kossuth, three in Palo Alto County, a single case each in Clay, Dickinson and Emmet Counties and no change in O’Brien, Osceola or Pocahontas Counties.
Three additional virus-related deaths were reported in Emmet County with one fatality in Clay County.
