Good evening. We begin with developing news. A are church in the heart of downtown san jose. It was severely damaged after a massive fire. Part of the Historic Church collapse. The fire is out. The crews remain on the scene tonight. We will tell you more about this fire. It started this afternoon wind San Jose Fire Department received several calls of smoke coming from the church attic. When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor. The fire was quickly elevated to a four alarm blaze. Meaning the majority of san jose fire resources more than 100 firefighters at one point, were called to the scene. The church is a large wooden building with several rooms upstairs and downstairs. Firefighters had to fight the fire in defensive mode, fighting from the outside. They initially tried to attack it from the inside. But it proved to be too difficult.
