A group of Mount Airy residents gathered in front of town hall Thursday night ahead of a meeting of town officials to protest two proposed housing developments.
Among the eight Carroll County agencies and departments that made formal requests for government funds Tuesday was the Board of Education, which asked commissioners for $4 million in ongoing revenue above the $6.4 million the county had planned to provide.
Artists are prepping for the annual PEEPshow, to be held April 8 through 18 at the TownMall of Westminster, showcasing numerous marshmallow masterpieces, such as sculptures, dioramas, mosaics and even videos, all crafted from or inspired by PEEPSĀ®.
As Carroll County plans to allow housing developments on two parcels of land, residents currently living in the area were given a chance to meet with county officials.
