As the Sacramento Police department welcomed its Newest Academy graduates thursday night, hearts were also hurting with the killing of officer Tara Osullivan, a 26yearold rookie and recent graduate whose watch ended wednesday night. An incredible person who paid the ultimate sacrifice for all last night. Reporter at 5 41 pm, officers went to the home in the 200 block of redwood avenue. A woman from a Domestic Violence call gathered belongings from her house. The suspect opened fire about 6 10 pm. Osullivan was hit and fell to the ground in the yard. Police say the suspect continued to fire. People was trying to get the up out the way. Reporter for nearly 45 minutes, osullivan lay on the ground as officers exchanged gunfire with the suspect and tried to rescue her. Police brought in a s. W. A. T. Team and an armored vehicle
