With fertile soils for arable farmers, lush grasslands and hills for livestock, and seas, rivers and lochs providing some of the finest fish and seafood in the world, we are fortunate to have all this on our doorstep.

The initiative will help spearhead projects that celebrate locally produced food
An initiative to help drive projects in Scotland that promote locally sourced and produced food has reopened for applications.
The Scotland Food & Drink Partnership’s Regional Food Fund aims to support the food and drink sector s recovery from the pandemic.
Since 2018 the fund has awarded over £300,00 to 79 projects, with over £100,000 will be made available for 2021.
Individual businesses in the food and drink sector can apply, including farmers and primary producers.
Rural Economy Secretary Fergus Ewing said: “Scotland is home to much of the world’s greatest produce and we must do all we can to protect and promote it.
SCOTLAND - a land of food and drink AN INITIATIVE to help drive projects that celebrate locally sourced and produced food and drink has reopened for applications. The Scotland Food and Drink Partnership’s Regional Food Fund aims to support the food and drink sector’s recovery from coronavirus with£100,000 of Scottish Government funding, managed by Scotland Food and Drink, with grants of up to £5000 available to applicants. Since 2018 the fund has awarded £355,327 to 79 creative, innovative and collaborative projects across the regions of Scotland. Rural Economy Secretary Fergus Ewing said: “Scotland is home to much of the world’s greatest produce and we must do all we can to protect and promote it. We are continuing to work closely with the sector to support it through this economic crisis. We expect that there will be high demand for this fund and I would encourage eligible groups and businesses to apply.
