the clues are on the dollar bill, there the national archives isn t bad. i mean, the national archives is where we keep our country s documents. it s the filing cabinet. it s the library. how can you be mad at the library? o wait. oh, yeah e that s what we re doing now. hysterical culture posturing from the political right is shutting down american libraries now and children s story times at libraries are being targeted for violence an intimidation from the right and school board meetings are turning into scenes of violence and intimidation and harassment as well. and elections workers being threatened and attacked and doxed and harassed. and public health officials and local public health officers and doctors and nurses, and
this, what they re feeling at this point in time? well, i think people are concerned first and foremost because it s the fbi s job to prevent this sort of domestic terrorism and to prevent this sort of violence. so, there are a lot of people working very hard to try and get ahead of any sort of acts of violence like that. again, at the same time, by all accounts and we don t know much at this point, and the investigation is still very, very early. in many cases, individuals radicalize on their own. they may not be part of some big group that the fbi can detect a conspiracy ahead of time. and at the same time, you re seeing this violence directed to the fbi. we had this judge who signed the warrant down in florida who s being doxed and worse, threatened, because people found out the name of the judge, publicized his name, his address. we are entering a period where people are taking it to law enforcement, taking it to the
one commenter writes this. i see a rope around his neck, next to the picture of the judge. cnn has not independently confirmed the judge s identity, and we are not naming him. the judge has been doxed and subjected to far more disgusting and violent comments than the one we ve just showed you. in response, an official government web page has been changed completely removing the judge s contact information. a number of prominent republicans are fiercely condemning the fbi for that search. some are making outlandish comparisons and spewing conspiracies. this is what happens in places like nicaragua, where last year, every single person who ran against daniel ortega for president was arrested and is still in jail. this should scare the living daylights out of american citizens the way our federal government has gone. it s like what we thought about the gestapo and people like that, they just go after people. you really are now seeing the
greitens run an ad hooch he threatened to kill his fellow republicans brandishing firearms. where is this going? very disturbing, truly one of the most disturbing eras of the trump era is increasing tolerance folder and political violence as joe properly defined. and it was illustrated yesterday, political violence is not just a punch thrown or a flag pole a hit used to hit somebody on top of the head. it doesn t have to have blood drawn. you know, it can be threats of violence. intimidation. it can be online. and it can be offline. these are all things they re all tools of violence. again, on the online side. i think yesterday talked about what it was like to be doxed. anybody that s been doxed, had
blah, blah, blah, this very small thing and obviously january 6th was violent in the traditional sense but denver talked about kinetic versus nonkinetic. what you see in all of this is that political violence isn t just about getting people beat up and bloodied or shot. political violence is also about threats and it s about intimidation and it s about stuff that takes place in the real world and stuff that takes place online. not everything that takes place online is political violence. speech is not always violence. i can heck tore and criticize you but if you know anybody who s been doxed, their private information, they home phone, home address exposed in a targeted way, what happens to those people in real life. there is not much of a distinction when the perpetrator is trying to intimidate, cow, or punish someone who s not doing what they want or who s done something they don t want. there s not that much difference between online and off and what all of this is doing is making u
