Right now all eindications talking to witnesses is he thought he was using his brake but accelerated. Reporter the driver crashed into this Outdoor Dining space operated by the dynasty seafood chinese restaurant. Eight people taken to the hospital. Two remain in critical condition. Lets again with ian cole who drove to tracy to talk to that man with a remarkable story of rescue. Reporter many of those passengers were headed from the bay area east to as far as stockton. We spoke with one man in tracy who immediately jumped into action to help the injured moments after the crash. As soon as it happened, there were a few jolts.
