CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas 5,000 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will arrive at the Corpus Christi - Nueces County Public Health District on Monday, February 8.
Here’s what you need to know about the first dose clinic:
A first dose clinic for 3,000 residents will start Tuesday, February 9 at 8:00 a.m.
The vaccination drive thru clinic will be at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown.
All spots for a first-dose clinic on Tuesday are booked.
Here s what to know:
First-dose COVID-19 vaccine clinic
The first-dose drive-thru clinic for 3,000 people will start at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds, 1213 Terry Shamsie Blvd., Robstown. The Moderna vaccine will be given for those eligible in Phases 1A and 1B.
The clinic will be strictly appointment based, which means there will be no option for first come, first serve this time.
One thousand people signed up for the Tuesday clinic using the health district s new call center hotline, and 1,000 booked their spots online.
Another 1,000 people who registered for an overbooked clinic last week due to a software glitch will have appointments for the Tuesday clinic and don t need to register again. They must they bring their QR code.
ROCK SPRINGS While there are no new COVID-19 vaccination appointments open for January, this does not include the second doses scheduled for this week and next for those 70 and older at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.
“We’ve had a lot of confusion about whether the second dose is still available – it is,” said Deb Sutton MHSC Public Information Officer. “There are no first doses available at the hospital.”
“We are asking those people who scheduled an appointment for a second dose to please keep their appointment,” Sutton said. “Please bring the vaccination card you received during your first visit.”
