when you are a prosecutor, one of the things you argue very frequently is, if these people were all lying, the story would not sound like this. you could make up much better story. they made much on the defense side of, oh, this happened at bergdorf goodman. well, it s completely lying, pick some other place. none of it really made any sense. i thought what was so wonderful about this verdict, and was worried beforehand, as very much to faith s point, which was that this was an adult verdict. this was people really understanding a woman from a different generation, from my mother s generation, where the idea of coming forward and saying something was just anathema to how you were brought up. and the idea that it was the me too movement, at a younger generation, that led the way,
should mr. trump pay to ms. carroll in punitive damages? $280,000. and so, the jury returned a total verdict of $5 million against donald trump. for the assault and donald trump s lies about the assault. $5 million. saying that everything donald trump said about e. jean carroll was a lie. these are the first lies told by donald trump while president that were put to the test of a jury in the jury unanimously found donald trump to be lying. and that jury found that donald trump s physical, sexual attack on e. jean carroll was done willfully and it was done with a conscious disregard of the rights of e. jean carroll. the jury did not believe donald trump. the jury did not
