If you take bascom road you will see it and its going to add to your delays getting out of the byron area. If you are driving out of the tracy area you will see that traffic here is going to be okay if you are driving through. I want to mention on the Golden Gate Bridge approach, southbound 101, there is a crash just outside the Robin Williams tunnel. Southbound onetoone traffic is slow and if you are coming to the Golden Gate Bridge need to add an extra 10 or 15 minutes at least. Lets go back to the desk. A fastmoving wildfire pushed by powerful wind fcing mandatory evacuations east of geyserville in northeast in Sonoma County. Crews say the fire is burning at a dangerous rate. We will check in in just a moment. Cristina rendon is in that area. We will check on the weather. And it could actually get windier when the sun comes up. Is going to start decreasing. We talked to a sergeant up there. He said he saw 60 and ive seen that. It will be 3040 around 1500 feet up to 3000 feet or 4000 feet. Alms all observations are showing low humidity. The temperatures are warm. Read ranch, 1300 feet. Not selena west has gusted 58. The last i saw was 45. Some may be coming down a bit but still Strong Enough and you are getting a northerly direction or northeast. Windsor has a north east at 12. There is a north, northwest throughout much of napa county. North

As of 355 this morning it grew to 10,000 acres. It still pretty windy. Earlier the wind speed was approximately 50 Miles Per Hour. The fire is moving in a northern direction toward cloverdale. So, they are keeping an eye on the fire and the weather conditions. Im assuming more evacuations will be needed later on this morning. How close is it to homes and schools and businesses in the area . Its out in the county. There are a lot of vineyards and ranches out there. So, north of River Rock Casino you will have Geyserville High School and then after that its a lot of vineyards and agriculture land. Sergeant, talk briefly about the evacuations. Weve obtained coverage of this fire with meteorologist Steve Paulson talking about the powerful wind driving the fire. First, we bring in Cristina Rendon. Talk to us about the conditions. I can see its windy. Reporter very windy and the winds have not let up whatsoever. Its gotten worse since weve been in geyserville at the corner of Alexander Valley road and pine flat road. This area has been closed off to the public but cal fire crews are deep in the trenches trying to get a handle on this fire burning outofcontrol. You can see the flames along the ridge line and this area is where red winery road is and to the left is an area where 128 is in the casino wed mentioned earlier, red rock casino is in the area in danger, as we speak. If you are driving on the east bay commute, 580 at the tracy triangle is very, very slow because of earlier crashes and we also had slow traffic on vasco road because of an earlier grass fire near Camino Diablo with the fire out now but it did damage with traffic on 280 and san jose slow.
