And, i mean, that does include focusing on the welfare of those at the bottom of the income distribution, but we shouldnt lose sight that there are people in the middle who really, you know, have seen their incomes stagnate over the last 20 or 30 years. Like a river and started freezing and it was gushing from a broken water main. It was a transmission main and there was no customer complains of low service or loss of service. But the impact on the morning commute was severe the break was discovered at 6 00 this morning and police shut down all 12 lanes of boulevard and traffic came to a stand still and clogged side streets as drivers searched for a way around and crews got the water shut off at 8 15. And traffic was allowed on the outer lane a while later. If it had simply cracked the repair would have been much faster. We are able to clean up the middle lanes well have the middle lane back open. Sometime later tonight. Right. Probably 8 00, 9 00, the water main is under the Center Median if it was under the road surface the repairs could take a month or more. This is the height of the water main break season that goes until march then could happen any time. We have crews working 12hour shifts every day of the week addressing the bre

Voted not to indict the Police Officer who shot and killed michael brown. Earlier in the day, at howard university, about a dozen students left class to attend a discussion on knowing their rights. Back at the department of justice, dozens of protesters showed up for what they called a diein to reenact the death of michael brown. After staging the diein, they made their demands clear. Now organizers say theyre going to plan a demonstration to be held in front of department of justice every monday afternoon until they get change. In fact, another demonstration is planned any minute. Reporting from the department of justice on pennsylvania avenue, Mark Segraves, news4. It took just 20 protesters to shut down rush hour traffic in d. C. This morning. Take a look. They delayed the commute for thousands today on this monday back to work.
