Our Correspondent Diphu, Aug. 10 (EMN): Supporters of All Party Hills Leaders Conference (APHLC) and Congress of Langmili under Lumbajong MAC constituency have joined the BJP in a joining programme organised at Langmili playground on Wednesday. Party sources said 306 supporters from APHLC and Congress merged with the BJP. Welcoming the opposition supporters, Chief Executive Member (CEM), Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang said through special package, roads have been improved in Langmili area. Free land pattas from KAAC were also distributed to villagers. “As I have given my promise for the people of Langmili and the roads have improved. Land pattas have also been distributed freely and those not yet received will be given,” he said. In Diphu town, various institutions, organisations and political parties observed IYD by organising yoga sessions and speeches on the importance of yoga for physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. At Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) stadium, the IYD was jointly organised by Kreeda Bharati; Nehru Yuva Kendra, Diphu; KASA; Karbi Anglong Mountaineering Association (KAMA) and District Administration; Chief Executive Member (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang and other elected members of KAAC and the general public attended the yoga session. Our Correspondent Diphu, June 15 (EMN): The two-day BJP Assam Pradesh Executive Committee meeting got underway in Diphu with delegates and invitees from the state and national-level, state ministers, MLAs and chairmen of various state government boards in attendance on June 14. President of BJP East Karbi Anglong District Committee, Dhansing Teron informed that the main discussion in the two-day meeting will be on organisational matters of the party such as the functioning of the booth-level committees, Shakti Kendras and various morchas. The party will also chalk out ways to prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha election due in 2025 and felicitate all the 26 winning candidates for their performance in the election, Teron added.
